Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Are children allowed in the bar in the evening?+
Yes, families are welcome at O'Connors. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We are a pub though, so it does get lively later in the evening!
Do you show live sports?+
Absolutely! We have multiple big screens showing all major sporting events including Six Nations rugby, Premier League football, Champions League, and horse racing. For the Cheltenham Festival, we even have a live in-house bookie!
Is there live music every night?+
Yes, we have live music seven nights a week. Roddy (our owner!) regularly performs himself, alongside our brilliant regular musicians including Gary, Camy, and Alex. Check our What's On page for the schedule.
Do you serve food all day?+
We serve breakfast from opening time and food throughout the day. Our menu includes a Full Irish Breakfast, Irish Stew, Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie, and more. Kitchen hours may vary, so ask at the bar for the latest.
Do you take reservations?+
We don't take table bookings — it's first come, first served. But don't worry, there's usually room. For large groups, give us a ring on +34 711 06 09 48 and we'll do our best.
Where exactly are you?+
We're on Av. de Papagayo, 75, right beside the church in central Playa Blanca. If you can find the church, you've found us!
What makes O'Connors different from other Irish bars?+
Simple — we're the only genuinely Irish-owned Irish bar in Playa Blanca. Roddy is from Tipperary, Laura is from Limerick. This isn't a themed bar, it's the real deal. Real Irish owners, real Irish music, real Irish craic.
