The Best Guinness in Playa Blanca
8 June 2026 · by O'Connors
A good pint of Guinness takes time and care. Here is why ours is the best in Playa Blanca, and why people keep coming back for it.
Ask anyone who knows their stout and they will tell you the same thing. A proper pint of Guinness cannot be rushed. It is the two part pour, the settle, the finish. Get it right and it is one of life's small pleasures. Get it wrong and you can taste the difference straight away.
At O'Connors we take our Guinness seriously, because in an Irish bar you have to. Every pint is poured in two passes, left to settle properly, then topped off the way it should be. The result is a creamy, smooth pint with a tight head that holds right to the bottom of the glass.
Why it tastes better here
A lot of people will tell you Guinness tastes better in Ireland. There is some truth in it, but most of the time it comes down to how it is kept and how it is poured. Cold lines, a clean glass, the right temperature, and a barman who is not in a hurry. Get those right and you are most of the way there.
Roddy and Laura learned the craft at home in Ireland, and they pass it on to everyone behind the bar. It is about as close as you will get to a pint in Dublin without leaving the island.
Come and judge for yourself
We could keep telling you about it, but a pint speaks louder than words. Pop in, order a Guinness, and give it a minute to settle before you lift it. You will know within the first mouthful.
While you are here, have a look at the rest of the bar on our Food and Drink page. There is a full bar of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails to go with it.
